The Pinball Asylum / The 7th Annual Pinball Asylum Point Monsters Championship
« Last post by doghouse on May 04, 2019, 06:33:24 PM »The 7th Annual Pinball Asylum Point Monsters Championship in Fort Myers, Florida is coming-- on June 7-8-9 -- AND this year it's gonna be even BIGGER & BETTER. We are opening up our MAIN Tournament by expanding the field to 60 players.
Full details on the THREE tournaments are below-- the MAIN, WOMEN'S DIVISION, and CLASSICS. For registration please email us at: info@pinballasylum.com
This is a sanctioned IFPA Event with THREE Tournaments starting Friday night, June 7th at 7pm, and going through Sunday night, June 9th.
1. The Main Tournament for IFPA points features the coveted GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE Monster Trophies, and cash payouts.
2. The Classics Tournament for IFPA points (Pre-1984 machines-- EM & SS), with trophies, and cash payouts.
3. A Women's Division Tournament, for IFPA points with trophies and cash payouts.
For the Main Tournament: PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, and limited to 60 players.
Hours:
June 7, Friday, Doors Open at 6:30pm. Doors close at 12:30am.
June 8, Saturday, Doors Open at 9:30am. Doors close at 12:30am
June 9, Sunday, Doors Open at 10:00am. Doors close at 12:00am.
The Main Tournament: Qualifying play will begin on Friday at 7:00pm and run to 12:00am. We'll open back up on Saturday and start at 10:00am, and continue until 12:00am midnight. Total qualifying time: 19 hrs. The 16 or 24 top ranking players will play finals on Sunday morning, starting promptly at 10:30 am.
The Classics Tournament: Qualifying play will begin on Friday at 7:00pm and run until 12:00am, and continue on Saturday starting at 10:00am. Classics qualifying will end at 6:00pm on Saturday. Total qualifying time: 13 hrs. The top 8 or 16 ranking players will play finals on Saturday night starting promptly at 7:30pm.
The Women's Division Tournament: 3- or 4-Strikes Tournament. Play will begin on Friday night at 7:00pm, and is expected to run until 10:30-11:00pm, or until finished.
Costs:
The Main Tournament is $50 for unlimited play.
-Or BUY The VIP Tournament Package for $80.00 that includes the Main Tournament, a 2019 Commemorative Point-Monsters T-Shirt, and 5@Classics Tournament Ticket Entries.
The Women's Division Tournament is $30.
The Classics Tournament game entries are (1) for $5.00, (3) for $10.00, (7) for $20.00, (15) for $40.00.
Or, if you aren't into tournament play, and you just want to hang out and play some pinball, you are likewise invited to attend. We'll have over 80 machines on FREEPLAY all weekend!
PLEASE NOTE: If you don't register to play in the Main Tournament, entry is only $15 a day, or $20 for the whole weekend. Kids under 12-Years Old are free.

Pinball Machines / RetroJAX Weekend - Pinball Tournaments
« Last post by MilitiaMan on January 27, 2019, 06:43:23 PM »The artist formerly known as The Jacksonville Arcade Expo is back for our third show, this time rebranded as RetroJAX Weekend.
Things will be a bit different this year as we move into our new home, the 36,000 sq. ft. Morocco Shrine Center. With more room, we are also adding more value. We will have more video games and pinball machines on the show floor than ever before, and this year we are bringing some new features and events to the show including a vintage toy and collectibles show, a tabletop gaming section, and even a car show in the massive parking lot on Saturday morning. There will truly be something for everyone at this year's show.
But, I know what you are interested in ... will there be a pinball tournament?
The answer is YES - there will be TWO!
The first tournament will take place Friday evening - King Of The Hill. The registration cost for this event is $30.00.
