A well deserved honor, paid for by the sweat of the tournament directors and organizer's brows.

Good thing.... the competition was a bit weak for the 2012 tournament  ;)

I think I'd better get practicing...  What do you guys do to prepare for a tournament?

Sounds like you'll need a 10 machine bank/5 score setup, similar to PAPA, if what I heard of last year's participation continues.   This will be big!

Different weekend than the KO this year, so I'll be there!

So you gonna compete? :)  (Hope so!)

Last year's SPF tourney was amazing.  So many competitors and lots of strong talent.  I think the Florida players made a huge impression on the "knowns" in the circuit :)

It'll be nice to have you there.

Oh I don't think I'll compete at SPF but I'll be there cheering everyone else on.  Pinburgh will probably be my last competition, because I've already committed to going, and really Pinburgh is as much about playing wild different machines with new friends than competition, although towards the end of both qualifying days competitive mode kicks into high gear!   Pinburgh is the most fun I've ever had at a competition, simply because of the format.   I'm sure I'll compete at Curleys, because it's a great warmup for Pinburgh.   :D

I'm reverting back to just hanging out and playing games for fun at the upcoming shows.

It can be more fun to hang out rather than compete, so the key is to find the perfect venue to do both to keep the pressure level low.  I typically go the opposite direction, skipping the tournament at Curly's but go all in at SPF because at Curly's there isn't time to compete and do much else a whereas a weekend show gives you plenty of time to do it all.

I really enjoyed the Tournament at APE.  I only had one machine at the show and it never broke down, so I had plenty of time to do as I pleased.

I'll be volunteering a lot of time at SPF this year fixing games and other duties as assigned.  I'll also be hanging out and playing games when I get a chance.  I am leaning away from playing in the SPF tournament at this point for lack of time.  I'll probably play in the Tourney at Curly's and at the Asylum in June (both tourneys).
